There are 338 districts or ridings as they are referred to in Canada and if over half of those running under the Justice and Equality Party banner win, then Dhillon would become the second youngest Prime Minister in Canadian history. Joe Clark of the Conservative party was the youngest ever elected to the position at the age of 39 in 1979. Current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was 43 years old when he was elected in 2015.
Having fearlessly faced down the legal system, Dhillon knows first hand what oppression feels like in Canada. Dhillon is well known for having fought for many years, tirelessly defending freedom of speech in Canada. During this long running saga, which involved KPMG (the world’s 4th largest accounting firm), authorities compared Dhillon to Malcolm X and Gandhi.

Dhillon voluntarily chose to go to prison rather than back down to threats he faced from the government, multinational corporations and others, while defending truthful blogs that he wrote about lawyers, accountants, judges, government officials and many others in Canada.
Emmet Pierce, the Chief Agent, of the newly formed Justice and Equality Party stated that the system is clearly rigged in Canada, in certain instances, and what Dhillon had to go through is clear evidence of that. Pierce assisted Dhillon throughout the entire court proceedings that lasted many years in British Columbia.
“If we can’t freely write the truth and use it to defend ourselves in court then what can we do in this country?” Dhillon is quoted as saying during the trial.
Despite being offered a deal to avoid going to prison if he took down the explosive and truthful blogs and just “apologize” for writing them, Dhillon refused to back down and faced the proverbial Goliath head on.
An archaic colonial era law that is several hundred years old was used to prosecute Dhillon. The law itself is so old, that on the books it's still technically punishable by death, even though Canada abolished the death penalty in 1976. The law is also the last exception left under Common Law in Canada.
Dhillon risked his life in the process and fought his way through the treacherous and rigged court proceedings. Dhillon went through much mental and physical stress but continued to fight and has lived to tell the tale.

Dhillon fought the entire trial in court representing himself and the case is now an internationally known freedom of speech case.
Along the way he received advice from world renowned lawyers such as Mark Stephens, who is known as one of the best media lawyers in the world.
The Times in 2008, described Stephens as both a "passionate supporter of human rights" and "one of the best advocates for freedom of expression". In 2010, he represented Julian Assange (founder of Wikileaks), as well as many other notable clients, such as Mike Tyson and James Hewitt, when allegations of his affair with Diana, Princess of Wales first emerged.
Stephens was retained by the Washington Post to represent its veteran war correspondent, Jonathan Randal, in the Hague, at the United Nations Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, establishing the principle of qualified privilege for the protection of journalists in war crime courts.
Of all his cases, Stephens is most proud of his defence of Randal, as he feels it is important that journalists are protected. In 2005, he was asked to draft new legislation regarding freedom of information, by Romania, that was compliant with NATO and EU law.
During his trial in Canada, Dhillon even received advice from one of Nelson Mandela's former lawyers – Mr. Martin Garbus, of the United States, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest trial attorneys to have ever lived and whom Time magazine called “legendary”. His client list includes Eminem, Al Pacino, Sean Connery, Robert Redford, Spike Lee, Martin Lawrence, Nobel Prize winners and political dissidents, such as Vaclav Havel and many more (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Garbus).
During his extraordinary journey, Dhillon has met a lot of people around the world and made many friends who are also fighting against injustice. There are many notable individuals that have joined him in his fight. One of them is his very close friend, trusted advisor, and his personal lawyer, Mr. Jamshed Mistry.
Mistry is a member of the Mumbai Bar Association and a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He is a very accomplished lawyer and has the most Amicus Curiae (judicial appointments) in the Bombay High Court.
He is also the former President of the Entertainment Lawyers Association in India and has represented many high profile celebrity clients, particularly in Bollywood. His clients include The Reserve Bank of India, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking, Shiamak Davar, Jaaved Jaferi, Neetu Chandra, former Miss World Yukta Mookhey and many more.
Mistry is also very well known for his social activism and spends much of his time working for social causes, particularly the rights of the disabled, as he is on the sub-committee of the Planning Commission, which is reviewing the legislation for disabled persons in India.
Mistry was also the legal consultant in Canada, to the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA), that took place in Vancouver, in April 2013, in which the B.C. Provincial government invested $11 million to host the extravaganza.

Dhillon and Mistry both advise, in their respective capacities, on high profile matters around the world, legal and otherwise, for the greater good of humanity.
Dhillon was also asked to advise European citizens living in the United Kingdom in the aftermath of the Brexit vote. Dhillon assembled a top notch legal team for this endeavour.
Currently, movies, books and T.V. series are in the works about the whole saga Dhillon has endured and the journey that led him to forming the Justice and Equality Party of Canada - T-321-19.
When asked about the case and why he did what he did and risked his life in the process, Dhillon stated that a quote by Frederick Douglass summed his thoughts up best:
“To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker”.
Background:
Satinder Paul Singh Dhillon was born in Canada to Punjabi, Sikh immigrants, in the lumber town of Quesnel, British Columbia. After moving at the age of four years old, he grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia, which is a farming community located an hour east of Vancouver.
Coming from very humble beginnings, even living in a one room cabin with his parents early in his childhood, Dhillon went on to attend Simon Fraser University and the University of the Fraser Valley.
Dhillon was just 19 years old and a little more than halfway through completing a degree in Business Administration, when he was offered a job at HSBC Finance (formerly known as HFC - Household Financial Corporation) as a loans officer. Within 90 days of working at this job, he became their number one employee in Western Canada. He then went on to work for Vancity, Canada’s largest credit union, becoming one of the youngest Financial Services Officers in its history.
Always the entrepreneur, he began purchasing real estate at a young age and trading stocks as a teen. At 19 years old he purchased an interest in a commercial/residential townhouse property in Port Moody, near Simon Fraser University, where he attended school.
Backed by Penmore Investments and Vector Capital, as a teenager he took on a mortgage of over $1.1 million and made his first major foray into real estate in British Columbia in the late 1990s (one of his first tenants was Starbucks Coffee Company which was early in its expansion into Canada at the time).
Dhillon has won national and international awards for his work in social activism.
He has been hailed as a ‘Modern Day Revolutionary’ by the Times of Canada for battling against corruption in Canada.

Dhillon was given the award for Emerging Leader, by the Times of Canada, in 2015.

“He is an entrepreneur, strategist, social activist, writer and is known around the world for the historic freedom of speech case he fought in Canada.
“Canadian judges have commended him for his legal ability. One judge was even quoted as saying that Dhillon is “better than most lawyers”, this despite not having a law degree.”
The special coffee table size book, which was delivered to embassies and consulates around the world, chronicles Dhillon’s story of growing up on a farm and then becoming an international businessman.
His ‘Success Mantra’ in the book states “Where there’s a will there is a way”. He credits his Sikh upbringing for helping him tremendously in life.

In 2018, Dhillon's Canadian case was even cited in the Supreme Court of India.

Dhillon was in India last year and traveled there as a part of the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau's, trade delegation, which took place in February of 2018. He was in India for almost two months thereafter for various conferences and meetings pertaining in part to the work he is doing in assisting to modernize and improve India's court system. This is one of several things he is working on in the country of his parents birth.

Dhillon, who as mentioned previously, also has a blog on the Huffington Post, has raised funds for a variety of organizations including Greenpeace, PBS, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Red Cross. He currently sits on the Board of Advisors for the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival as well.
Dhillon is the founder of Global Strategic Solutions, which is taking on various global initiatives. A particular focus of the company is to strengthen the legal system in various countries.

Dhillon said he is planning on holding a press conference to further inform the public about his party and the reasons why he is planning on participating in the political process in Canada. “This is truly a movement built by the people, for the people” said Dhillon.
Dhillon said he has waited as long as he did to announce his run due to the fact that he has been in the process of finishing a long running court matter he was involved in this summer, which was heard in the Court of Appeal in British Columbia, involving global accounting giant KPMG and others. A decision in that globally known matter is still pending.

Dhillon also explained that the ongoing court battle for the name the People’s Party of Canada for which he has sued Mr. Maxime Bernier, (the former Conservative Minister of Foreign Affairs), in the Federal Court, further impacted his timing. Dhillon holds the trademark and copyright for the name - The People’s Party of Canada.
Dhillon added that dealing with Elections Canada and their flip flopping had also been an “interesting journey to say the least”. “Much like our previous cases, we have every inch of this journey documented and we will be discussing more about this as well in the near future”.
“We expect no justice from the courts in that case either and despite knowing the odds against us, we are pursuing this case to further prove how our system functions in Canada. We have thousands of members and we will be heard in Canada one way or another”.
The letter and numbers at the end of the party’s name (T-321-19), refer to the case that is registered in the Federal Court of Canada, whereby Pierce and Dhillon are the plaintiffs.
http://www.thepeoplespartyofcanada.org/news/
“Our party is born out of protest against an unjust system. Even how we got our name tells the story of what we’ve endured in this country. We have spent many years planning and organizing and now is the right time to fight back on behalf of all Canadians not just ourselves” stated Chief Agent Emmet Pierce from his Vancouver home.
“The systemic corruption within our system needs to be rooted out. No other party is tackling this major issue in the way it needs to be addressed and dealt with. We are at a tipping point globally and corruption is ruining the planet in more ways than one added Pierce.
"The decision to form a political party was made by myself and our team a few years ago, given the state of affairs in government in Canada and certain corporations running amok. I believe it is my duty to give back to the country that has given myself and my family so much. My father and mother came to this country because they believed it was the best country in the world to live in and I want to prove them right” stated Dhillon.
“I personally have had the good fortune to survive through some very difficult times that were put upon me by an unjust system. After almost literally dying during the ordeals I have faced in Canada, I survived to tell the story. These trials and tribulations are well documented in court and by medical professionals and I thank God that I survived. I believe this was all a test preparing me for what was to come next. This fight is for all those that have not been able to fight back for themselves and instead became statistics in the path of systemic failures in our country” added Dhillon.
“We are currently in discussions to produce movies and multiple books are being written about the whole saga we personally endured. This is now our back story so to speak and while that journey was very interesting to say the least, it is what we plan on doing next that we are focusing on more these days rather than looking back” said Pierce.
“Growing up living on a farm in Abbotsford, getting involved in government wasn’t something that was in the forefront of my mind but now I feel that it is necessary to participate in the process that makes democratic countries like Canada so desirable to live in” said Dhillon.
“Having people working on deals to produce movies about what we have already done in our lives is humbling to say the least. Having interest from Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Hulu and others has been a very unique experience for a kid who grew up picking berries in Abbotsford. That’s for sure.”
“My agent who is based in Los Angeles has had many meetings in Hollywood about producing a full length feature film in America, along with the screenplay in Bollywood that is being written about our experiences ” said Dhillon.

“It seems out of this world that a T.V. series based on our lives is being discussed. More details about this will be released after my agent finalizes his discussions and picks the platform we go with” added Dhillon.
“Being able to tell the story of how my parents came to Canada, after they fell in love in India in the 1960s is my favorite part of this whole process so far”.
“The sole reason my father left India was due to his love for my mother. Back in those days love marriages were not accepted as widely in our culture as they are today”.
“How my mother and father persevered after spending over 7 years apart in their twenties is a great story I grew up with. They made each other a promise and through thick and thin, against all odds, they kept their word to each other, even though the journey was much longer than they expected and there was much hardship along the way”.
“What they did was truly amazing to me, to buck the trend and fight against the societal norms of the time. I feel like what I went through pales in comparison to the sacrifices they made so that they could have a better life together and so that their child could have the opportunities I have had”.
“Today’s generation has it much easier than our parents did and any difficulties we have had to go through are nothing compared to what those that came before us have endured. It is our duty to make our country stronger in any which way we can”.
“Our parents paved the way for us and no matter how hard it got for me personally, I’ve always thanked God for being able to help me find a way through it all. And after God I thank God again for giving me the mother he did. When I count my blessings I count her twice”.
“After God, it is my mother that I am most grateful for. Having said that there have been countless supporters and friends without whom this journey would not be possible and in the movies and T.V. shows and books that are being written each and every one of them will get their due”.
“We have formed a strong team and are ready to take on the next challenge of sharing with Canadians what we've learned over the last couple of decades. Our journey through the business, legal and corporate world in Canada and globally has taught us a lot”.
“The injustice and inequality within the Canadian political and legal environments in Canada is astounding and most Canadians still don’t know how deep it runs and the extent to which it is damaging the very fabric of our society and how it impacts them directly”.
“It has taken many, many years for us to build this movement from a grassroots level, one person at a time. The team we’ve been able to assemble will change the way we think about politics in Canada and globally. This movement is here to stay for the long run and change will come one way or another”.
“We are fortunate to have had a vast national and global network to tap into, to collaborate with. We want to use our knowledge to help Canada fix the serious problems we have within our system”.
“There has been much planning that has gone into this decision and we have been organizing and strategizing for a very long time. We feel that now is the time we need to launch this movement”.
Dhillon, who as mentioned previously is well known in the world for having fought a freedom of speech case that involved KPMG (the world’s fourth largest accounting firm), is a battle tested veteran of the courtrooms, after having learned the process over the last two decades, stated he is ready for this next challenge in politics. This is a very long sentence. Not sure if we need all of this as it has already been mentioned...
Even though he is not a practicing lawyer, Dhillon has a great deal of experience in this arena. Judges have had some kind things to say about him as well, in his battle against the system:
“Mr. Dhillon has a well developed sense of strategy” - Associate Chief Justice of British Columbia
“The matter appears to be complex, but Dhillon represents himself, and he appears articulate and is in Court with a large number of banker’s boxes” – Justice Groves
“Better than most lawyers” - Retired, Honorable Justice Selywn Romily
“An experienced litigator” - Supreme Court of British Columbia Judge
“A well dressed gentlemen” - Retired Justice Peter Leask
“Being able to test the legal system in Canada, at almost every level, from the Supreme Court of British Columbia, to the Court of Appeal, to the Supreme Court of Canada and now the Federal Court, by standing up for what we believe in, I believe our team can help fix the system that is very much broken and rigged”.
“We have hands on experience battling corporations and government entities that have done wrong in this country and we know first hand how rigged the system is against the people”.
“People know what’s going on, it’s plain to see these days. Everywhere you turn the information is readily available that shows us exactly where we are at as a society”.
“We all have to actually work together to fix this problem and not let the powers that be divide us along economic lines and racial lines. Allowing ourselves to be continuously divided by class, race, religion, profession and any other way, just helps the current system get stronger and oppress us all for longer.”
“Frederick Douglas said it best” stated Dhillon - “Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Douglass
“Our party, its officers and its supporters want to put our skills to work to help fix the problems we believe are so entrenched in our system that we almost think it’s a normal way to function. I’m sure all Canadians would agree that despite how good we have it in many ways, we can do much better”.
“The systemic failures in our system are causing much harm to our society, to a lot of people and as much as we may not want to admit it, some of it is by design. In our opinion, no other party can speak out about it as frankly and openly as we can, because they are also a part of the problem itself.”
“It’s going to take some serious effort to fix these things and while other parties and their leaders are hampered by being old world in their politics and thought processes, whether they personally agree or disagree, they have to tow the party line. We have the advantage of having been marginalized to a point where the fear of not ‘fitting in’ does not cross our mind. Quite the opposite. We openly accept the challenge of doing what no other party is doing” said Pierce.
“First world countries need to wake up and realize that things need to change and change fast. There are many people that feel exactly the way we do. They are fed up with all of the phony nonsense that politics feeds the people each election cycle. A lot of people don’t even come out to vote anymore because they feel none of the parties are any good" said Enrique Vidal who is one of the officers of the Justice and Equality Party.
“The options are getting more and more watered down and fake each election cycle. We need to work together no matter who gets elected to fix the problems and not keep feeding into this popularity contest that our elections have become” added Vidal.
"The next generation must realize the critical need for all of us to show up at the polls and let our voice be heard when it comes to choosing our country's leaders. Along with this we must educate ourselves to understand what our leaders and parties stand for. We must teach our kids early on how the whole process works and why they need to get involved. A good start is to take your kids with you to the polls even if they can't vote yet" said Teresa Penner who is a member of the party and mother of four.
Teresa and her husband Jonathan Penner and all of their children are members of the party and live in Langley, British Columbia and run an organization called LifeApp.
LifeApp is a health and wellness centre for relationships—a personal growth community rallied around what love is and how to live it toward ourselves and others: mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
https://www.facebook.com/lifeapp.ca/
According to Gabriel (Gabe) Penner, who is based in Langley and the lead singer of the band Her Brothers and is an officer of Dhillon’s new party, “many of the leaders of today are more in love with the idea of getting power or becoming a Member of Parliament or Prime Minister that they truly aren’t focused on the job at hand and what actually needs to be done”.

“Politicians today are more focused on optics and how things look rather than what is the right thing to do and how to get there. Sometimes that’s not going to win over popular opinion and that’s OK. This movement is designed to increase your attention span, not decrease it”.
“You won’t be hearing a lot of rhetoric and posturing from us. We are going to say it like it is and educate people on what this country really needs, and what the world really needs”.
“If we are to survive and thrive as a species moving forward we need massive change and we need it right away. From our economic system to dealing with climate change, we need to be much more progressive and learn from the vast knowledge we have available at our fingertips. This is something that was not the case even just a decade ago” added Penner.

The Chief Agent of the party Mr. Emmet Tisdale Pierce stated that: “There are those that will be affected by injustice in the future because the system is rigged and broken and we must prevent this from happening to future generations”.
“We believe we can make things better for Canadians and we are offering the voiceless a voice and the marginalized an opportunity to be heard in the rigged system we live in today in this country".
"We are fortunate enough to have survived but what about those that didn't survive or cannot speak for themselves and those that are currently facing difficulties and injustices? We need to help them have a voice and our party is that voice that we believe Canadians need. We look forward to providing the voiceless a voice so that every Canadian has justice and equality in their lives, not just the rich and powerful” added Pierce.
Emmet Tisdale Pierce was born in Vancouver and has been Dhillon's right hand man for over 15 years of the journey, after they met in 2004.
"The choices we have currently are not speaking to a lot of Canadians and we are offering a viable alternative other than the status quo. Going from red to blue and blue back to red for decades on end isn't working for a lot of Canadians"
"I was born in this country and my family and I believe in fairness and equality. Now more than ever the common people in Canada need to stand together to fight against a rigged system that is ruining our country and dividing us while doing it" stated Pierce.
"I studied history and political science at Carleton University in Ottawa and Langara College in Vancouver and have a young son who is of half native descent. I am of Irish, English and Scottish background myself and my great grandfather was the Chief of Police in Niagara Falls. Maybe this is why I have such a strong belief in justice and equality".
"I believe that this country can do better than the current state of affairs. If we don't do something now to fix this country I truly worry about what the future holds for the next generation".
